The use of SAFE-T-STRAP™ "Industrial Straps" can eliminate our use of bulky, expensive and timely to install systems such as the wire rope system used below.
Engineering confirmations are required for horizontal lifeline systems. SAFE-T-STRAP™ test results will provide us with the needed documentation that is often absent or difficult to obtain for wire rope systems that are installed on site. For wood truss roof systems, SAFE-T-STRAP™ systems provide anchorage points and travel restraints that can keep workers from going off the edge.
I was very impressed by the features of this system and would encourage that it be considered for all Bovis Lend Lease jobs. These systems should be reviewed during the preconstruction phase as well as current and ongoing operations as a means of providing fall protection for all workers on Bovis Lend Lease projects.
